MERRYMAKING Mexico internationals Carlos Vela and Efrain Juarez have been handed six-month bans by their national federation for partying with 14 prostitutes and a transsexual following a friendly against Colombia.
The sanctions were announced by national team director Nestor de la Torre, who told a press conference that the players violated rules from the federation’s code of conduct after the 1-0 win in Monterrey.
Eleven other players were fined 50,000 pesos each for their part in the festivities at the team hotel – Giovani dos Santos, Javier Hernandez, Guillermo Ochoa, Francisco Rodriguez, Carlos Salcido, Andres Guardado, Gerardo Torrado, Pablo Barrera, Rafael Marquez, Enrique Esqueda and Hector Moreno.

  1. This whole incident is a joke. The team concentration was broken and the FMF was aware of the celebration which was most likely due to Mexico’s huge bicentennial celebration. If you live out of your country, how else can you celebrate if it’s not after a victory and when the team concentration is over? Besides you will soon leave the country and won’t be able to celebrate with compatriots? The rest is just the media’s c*** and heresay for none know the truth. If the media respected an indivuduals privacy and not report heresay and sensationalist news just to print an add none of this would of been an issue. Respect to a foreign right is peace!
