Liverpool could be bottom of table

LIVERPOOL could be bottom of the Premier League before they kick another ball if the club is hit with a points deduction.
If parent company Kop Holdings goes into administration – which could happen if the sale of the club does not go thorugh before October 15 – Liverpool will be slapped with a nine point deduction, according to reports.
This will leave them on minus three points, eight points behind Wolves and West Ham at the foot of the Premier League when they kick off the Liverpool derby away against Everton on October 17.
New England Sports Ventures want to carry out a £300m takeover of the club, but current co-owner Tom Hicks wants to challenge the sale price in court.
