HIGH horse time – after being booked for the 10th time this season against Arsenal, Man Utd midfielder Paul Scholes will miss two domestic matches and have to stump up a £15 fine.
That’s right, a trifling £15!
I could just about cover that on a blogger’s wage.
Under the FA’s disciplinary regulations, any player who picks up 10 yellow cards before the second Sunday of April is subject to an automatic two-game ban and a £15 fine.
So Scholes will miss the clashes with Bolton and West Ham – hardly a massive problem when there’s still European football to busy yourself with – and have to find a spare £15 as well.
C’mon FA – that’s hardly a massive incentive for Scholes to curb that well publicised ‘dark side’ to his game.
