Sin Bin scheme from PFA

A SIN Bin scheme like that used in Rugby and Ice Hockey is among suggestions put forward by Professional Footballers’ Association big cheese Gordon Taylor.
In a bid to clean up dissent in the game, Taylor would like to introduce short sending offs to football and also introduce a five-yard exclusion zone around referees.
He said: “A club can have a bad disciplinary record and they get a suspended fine.
“What’s wrong with deducting points for indiscipline?
“There should be a five-yard imaginary circle around referees that only captains can enter.
“And why don’t officials look at monitors on big decisions – crowds don’t mind waiting. Robin van Persie was sent off in Barcelona, but why not have a sin bin?”
Sounds like somebody’s been watching the Six Nations – but some food for thought nonetheless.
