WALES’ Bale believes that his countrymen have enough in the tank to give England a run for their money this weekend.
Wales lie bottom of the Euro Qualifying Group G after three losses while England lie second behind Montenegro with a game in hand.
But speaking about the Home Nations clash, Gareth Bale said: “We’re quietly confident in the camp that we’ve got enough to pull off an upset.
“People might laugh at us but we fully believe that we’ve got some good players here and we’ll be fully prepared and ready to take it to England.”
And though I’m rooting for the Three Lions to give Welsh Dragon a mauling, part of me hopes he’s right.
A close encounter could prove to be just what Vauxhall, newly-named sponsor of the countries plus Scotland and Northern Ireland, could need to prove its aspirations to revive the Home Internationals last held in 1984 are worth pursuing.
So fingers crossed it’s a cracking match come Saturday – with the right result both on and off the pitch.
