WHEN it comes to idle transfer speculation, Wolves boss Mick McCarthy should not be crust… sorry, crossed.
Because the manager has warned that anyone making a speculative approach for England winger Matt Jarvis should expect a swift custard pie to the face for their troubles.
He said: “Jarvis is not for sale at any price, no-one at this football club needs to be sold.
“At the moment, Ashley Young’s going everywhere; and by the way Jose Mourinho’s leaving Real Madrid, so I’m going there because it’s a natural fit.
“It’s not, of course.
“But I read that Jarvis is meant to be going to Liverpool or wherever and it’s a nonsense. He is far too valuable to us.
“If anyone comes knocking at my door they will get a custard pie.”
