FORMER Liverpool and Arsenal target Keisuke Honda looks like driving forward with a transfer away from his club CSKA Moscow this Summer.
The Japanese star, who was a sensation for the Asian nation at the World Cup in South Africa and made Goaltastic’s team of the tournament, has said his Russian adventure could be nearing an end and that his situation is “agonising”.
The comments are sure to put a number of Premier League clubs on high alert.
He said: “I can’t stay like this. Right now I’m in a rut still being at CSKA. This wasn’t what I planned.
“If I don’t accept it I can’t live my life. But if I get too used to my circumstances I’ll come to a halt.”
Fingers crossed Honda can park up in the Premier League – not only is he a sensational footballer and set-piece specialist, but I’ve got a whole load of motoring-related puns just waiting to be used…
