FULHAM FC has put a feather in it’s environmental cap by laying on a brood of chickens for players and staff.
The eight birds with produce hundreds of eggs at the Motspur Park Training Ground for players and staff to enjoy.
Hopefully they’ll help players have a crack at shelling the opposition’s goal from range.
A spokesman said: “They are residing in a spacious coop which contains a shed for shelter, with suitable protection against predators.
“The hens are an addition to many eco-friendly schemes at Motspur Park including the planting of a number of fruit trees within the grounds and the addition of an organic vegetable plot so that the Club’s resident chef is assured of premium quality produce with which to prepare the players and staff’s meals each day.”
The club is running a competition to name the chickens – Tweet suggestions with the hashtag #fulhamchickens with winning names announced on April 21.
