GRAHAM Westley, manager of League One side Preston North End, has dumped eight players via text message.
The callous club manager sent an identical SMS to eight members of the squad he took over in January, telling them not to turn up to pre-season training.
The mobile-messaging move follows Westley releasing 14 players at the start of the summer and transfer listing a further seven. He has also signed 12 new players in his seven months in charge.
So perhaps with such a revolving door, mobile phones are the only way to manage the squad which is both coming and going.
