EVERTON stopper Tim Howard has admitted he would weep openly should fullback Leighton Baines leave the club.
Discussing the transfer of another fullback, Alexander Buttner, to Manchester United, meaning Baines is less likely to be targeted by the Red Devils, he admitted his emotions for his Everton colleague.
Tearful Tim told interviewers: “If Bainesy left I would probably cry because he’s the guy you can always count on.
“Bainesy has been our best player consistently over the last three or four seasons. He’s going to give you 8 out of 10 every week.
“That’s why Manchester United and others are sniffing around him.”
Who’s sniffing now Tim?
