THE secret world of Subbuteo has been captured by a photographer for a new project.
For his In The Box work, London-based snapped Tom Groves has spent three years following the cult competition of Subbuteo to put together a new photobook.
He said: “Subbuteo. For most, is an iconic manifestation of the 1980s and ’90s, now a nostalgic throwback.
“A competitive table football game where kicks were flicks, the collective height of the team reached 33cms and an entire World Cup could take place on the kitchen table.
“However, for a small but significant group of Subbuteo fanatics, the beautiful game never died out.”
Tom is looking for support to make the photobook a reality through Kickstarter. For more information visit http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1924240047/in-the-box-subbuteo-alive-and-flicking
