Transfer Deadline Day – Fellaini wants out

marouane fellaini.jpeg
MAROUANE Fellaini, Belgian midfield bruiser at Everton, looks all but set to move to join his former boss David Moyes at Manchester United.
With the deal looking likely from the moment Moyes left for Old Trafford, with hours left before the transfer window slams shut dramatically, Fellaini has reportedly handed in a formal transfer request to his club.
With the background agreements likely to have been thrashed out already, I would be very surprised if Fellaini isn’t a Red Devil by midnight.

Are deadline day’s biggest deals already lined up?

THIS transfer deadline day looks like it could be a stormer – because some of the biggest deals of the summer are reportedly all lined up and ready to go.
Top of the pile when it comes to transfer business has to be the Real Madrid slow motion swoop for Tottenham’s Gareth Bale.
If this deal doesn’t go through I’ll eat my dubious hot pink baseball cap.
Of course, rumour has it that this deal will allow Madrid to sell Di Maria to Arsenal – not an all-but-done deal, sure, but highly likely nonetheless.
And we’re being told this morning by the Belgian media that be-Afroed powerhouse Marouane Fellaini has been told he has played his last game for Everton and can leave for Manchester United.
Whether Leighton Baines leaves is not quite so certain, but if they both do, Everton will surely be in the market for last-minute replacements.
Add to this that Manchester City boss Pelligrini said outright yesterday that he plans to bring in one more player, and you have the recipe for a big-spending deadline day tomorrow.
Of course, follow Goaltastic tomorrow for news and views on Transfer Deadline Day.

Kaka could be marquee signing that Wenger and Moyes are looking for

A FORMER World Player of the Year, a Real Madrid ‘Galactico’ no less, who cost £56m last time he moved – could Kaka be the midfield menace that both Manchester United and Arsenal are angling for this transfer window?
With the imminent transfer of Spurs’ Gareth Bale to Real, and the news that Mesut Ozil is staying put, Brazilian attacker Kaka has made it clear he wants to leave Spain, and soon.
The news has put top clubs around Europe on alert, and despite the rumours that AC Milan is a likely destination, it’s clear that two of the Premiership’s big boys, Manchester United and Arsenal, could do with his services.
Since joining Old Trafford, David Moyes has been linked, albeit sometimes ridiculously, with a parade of talent – Cesc Fabregas, Thiago Alcantara, Marouane Fellaini, Luka Modric, Cristiano Ronaldo, even Bale.
What is clear from these rumours is that Moyes is in the market for a midfielder.
And at Arsenal, Arsene Wenger recapturing Mathieu Flamini, while a solid piece of business, is not the sort of transfer activity that the fans crave after a similar summer of disappointment.
With Kaka out of favour, hankering for a move from Real Madrid, the player should be within both’s budget, and there’s time to do a deal – could the Premier League have a new star player in the coming days?

Deadline Day: Blues in for Fellaini?

marouane fellaini.jpeg
BE-AFROED beast of a midfielder Marouane Fellaini has been in the form of his life for Everton so far this season, and it’s not gone unnoticed…
Breaking rumours in the last few minutes suggest that Chelsea may be readying a massive bid in excess of £30m for the goal-getting midfielder, to add to their collection of goal-getting midfielders at Stamford Bridge.
It’s been a longstanding rumour that the Belgian could be leaving Everton at the end of the season, but surely that amount of money would be hard to ignore for the Toffees, should it turn out to be more than speculation.
After all, they have signed a perfect replacement in the form of FC Twente’s Leroy Fer already…

Quit threat Fellaini is hair today, gone tomorrow

marouane fellaini.jpeg
EVERTON’S in-form Marouane Fellaini has told the Belgian press he is eyeing up a switch from the Toffees.
Despite enjoying a blistering start to the season playing a role ‘in the hole’ for the Liverpool club, the afro-tastic star – nicknamed The Perminator by fans – has hinted he is ready to leave.
He said: “I am just starting my fifth season at Everton, this will be one of my last. I have seen everything.
“In January or at the end of the season I will turn to another club or championship.”
There goes my hairo, watch him as he goes.

Lookalike Friday – Sideshow Marouane

EVERTON hairball Marouane Fellaini looks like a lot of things – a mop, a microphone, a dropped lollipop that’s been on a journey down the back of the sofa collecting fluff.
But all of them are inanimate objects – in fact, Simpsons cartoon character Sideshow Bob is about the closest thing to a real life human I could find.
Isn’t Lookalike Friday great?

Sick Note XI

ALTHOUGH a number of the Premier League’s top talents are itching to flex their footballing muscles come August 14, it won’t just be the fans watching intently.
Established talents like Rooney and Lampard will be looking to exorcise their World Cup demons, and new signings like David Silva and Javier Hernandez will be looking to make their mark.
But there’s a wealth of talent that will be sat on the sidelines due to injury – here’s Goaltastic’s Sick Note XI, which would be a match for any Premiership outfit on their day.
Get well soon guys –
