Kaka could be marquee signing that Wenger and Moyes are looking for

kaka.jpg
A FORMER World Player of the Year, a Real Madrid ‘Galactico’ no less, who cost £56m last time he moved – could Kaka be the midfield menace that both Manchester United and Arsenal are angling for this transfer window?
With the imminent transfer of Spurs’ Gareth Bale to Real, and the news that Mesut Ozil is staying put, Brazilian attacker Kaka has made it clear he wants to leave Spain, and soon.
The news has put top clubs around Europe on alert, and despite the rumours that AC Milan is a likely destination, it’s clear that two of the Premiership’s big boys, Manchester United and Arsenal, could do with his services.
Since joining Old Trafford, David Moyes has been linked, albeit sometimes ridiculously, with a parade of talent – Cesc Fabregas, Thiago Alcantara, Marouane Fellaini, Luka Modric, Cristiano Ronaldo, even Bale.
What is clear from these rumours is that Moyes is in the market for a midfielder.
And at Arsenal, Arsene Wenger recapturing Mathieu Flamini, while a solid piece of business, is not the sort of transfer activity that the fans crave after a similar summer of disappointment.
With Kaka out of favour, hankering for a move from Real Madrid, the player should be within both’s budget, and there’s time to do a deal – could the Premier League have a new star player in the coming days?

Falcao says transfer rumours are worthless

falcao.jpg
MONACO’S star man Radamel Falcao has insisted there is no truth in rumours linking him with a swift return to Spain, just months after moving to Ligue 1.
Reports in Spain last week suggested 60million euro striker Falcao was unhappy with the scope of the project on the south coast after leaving Atletico Madrid in May, with a controversial switch to his former club’s fierce rivals Real Madrid mooted as a surprise option.
There have been reports in recent days that Monaco would also be forced to move their offices to France – causing the club to lose it’s current tax benefits, hitting players in the pocket.
The 27-year-old said: “It’s a totally false article. I’m very happy at Monaco and I believe in the project.
“Everything is false, even the numbers quoted by the press are false. I feel great at the club and I’m going to stay here.”
Monaco boss Claudio Ranieri also gave the reports similar short shrift, adding: “What do you want me to tell you? The rumours are rumours.
“Falcao is staying at Monaco.”

Suarez: Liverpool said I could leave

luis suarez.jpeg
WANTAWAY Liverpool striker Luis Suarez has accused the club of reneging on an agreement in his contract which stated he could leave Anfield this summer if they had not qualified for the Champions League.
The Uruguay international has also said he will submit a written transfer request by the end of the week if the Merseyside outfit continue to block a potential move to Arsenal.
Suarez, in interviews given to the Daily Telegraph and The Guardian, said he believes a clause written into the contract he signed last summer entitles him to a move.
“Last year I had the opportunity to move to a big European club and I stayed on the understanding that if we failed to qualify for the Champions League the following season I’d be allowed to go,” the 26-year-old said.
“I gave absolutely everything last season but it was not enough to give us a top-four finish – now all I want is for Liverpool to honour our agreement.”
Liverpool have rejected two bids from Arsenal – of £30million and £40,000,001 – for Suarez this summer.

Rooney challenged to outgun Law and Charlton

DENIS Law and Sir Bobby Charlton could help keep Wayne Rooney at Manchester United.
Since May, rumours have been rife that the Red Devils’ England international is looking to leave the club – with Arsenal, Barcelona and Paris St Germain among names linked with the striker.
But new Manchester United boss has enlisted the help of the club’s greats to give Wayne Rooney the motivation to remain at Old Trafford.
David Moyes said: “It is interesting to see Wayne is only 50 goals behind Sir Bobby Charlton and 40 behind Denis Law.
“We are looking to see how we get Wayne Rooney to get those goals which are going to challenge the likes of Bobby Charlton and Denis Law. I am more than happy to work with him to get success.”
Charlton remains United’s most prolific goalscorer, with 249. Law is second on the list with 237. Rooney ended last season with 197, behind only Jack Rowley in addition to the pair Moyes wants the Croxteth-born player to catch.
He added: “When I went down to the training ground, I looked at the pictures of the legends that have played for this club – I could see George Best, Denis Law, Bobby Charlton, Roy Keane and I thought Wayne isn’t too far away from that.”

Premiershipping Forecast – Ibrahimovic is the Swede we need

ON THE RADAR – Zlatan Ibrahimovic
CURRENT SIDE – Paris St Germain
POSSIBLE PREM TEAMS – Chelsea, Manchester City
THE LOWDOWN – News today is that Man Utd striker Wayne Rooney could be snaffled up for a cool £40m by PSG – leaving Sweden’s finest Zlatan Ibrahimovic free to move on.
The nomadic forward has long terrorised defences around Europe but never made it to the Premier League.
But should he be on the move, the rumour mill has ground out the names of Chelsea and Manchester City as potential suitors – although a move back to Italy and AC MIlan is also on the cards, say the papers.

WELCOME to my new transfer target feature, the appallingly-named Premiershipping Forecast.
Goaltastic will be casting its eye over some of the bigger names which could be plying their footballing trade on these shores come August.
Here’s our first…
ON THE RADAR – Radamel Falcao
CURRENT SIDE – Atletico Madrid
POSSIBLE PREM TEAMS – Chelsea, Manchester City
THE LOWDOWN – Atletico Madrid manager Diego Simeone has said he will not bear any grudge if star striker Radamel Falcao decides to seek a new challenge – which he looks likely to.
Falcao has scored 32 goals in 36 appearances in all competitions so far this season and has been linked with a summer move to French side Monaco, as well as – fingers crossed – Manchester City and Chelsea.
The 27-year-old clinical Colombian forward is under contract with Atletico until 2016 – but boss Simeone says said he would give Falcao his blessing if he decides to move.

Wayne Tooney! Are Newcastle in talks for Manchester United striker?

Thumbnail image for Thumbnail image for wayne rooney.jpg
AN ARTICLE published and then removed from Newcastle United owner Mike Ashley’s business site said his club are talking to Rooney’s agent.
Outgoing Manchester United manager Alex Ferguson revealed recently that Wayne Rooney has handed in a transfer request.
A move to Europe has been suggested as the England striker’s most likely move – but SportsDirect reported “the Magpies have already sounded out Rooney’s agent over a potential move, with United keen to offload the 27-year-old,” adding: “Rooney is seen as a perfect candidate to boost the Magpies’ chances of a top-four tilt next season – and is seen as a man who will be hero-worshipped at St James’ Park.”
The article has now been replaced with an apology.
